To assist and train the children to enable them to bloom as independent individuals while being able to achieve their maximum personal, social, emotional, and vocational capabilities and a rightful place in society.
To create an environment for children with special needs which is safe, inclusive, and supportive, where they can be nurtured while having the freedom of being themselves, working at their own pace and creating their own happiness.
The main goal of starting Buddy Centre is to provide a safe space for children and young adults with special needs, to be happy doing activities of interest, with others of similar age or needs, and to promote Life Skills and Vocational Skills. This would in turn help them to be happy, confident, and socially valued.
Our Vocational Training program is designed to help young adults with special needs explore and develop practical skills based on their abilities and interests.
Through engaging activities like arts and crafts, block painting, paper bag and envelope making, cloth pouches, diya painting, and cooking, we aim to foster independence and creativity.
Each session is tailored to meet their unique needs, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to society. With a focus on hands-on learning and personal growth, we provide the tools for these young adults to build confidence and thrive in their chosen vocations.
The Recreational Center at Buddy Center offers a lively weekend program for children and young adults with special needs, providing a safe and fun space to socialize and build friendships. Launched in 2018.
This initiative was created to address the loneliness many face due to limited peer interactions. Held on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, the program focuses on personality development, social skills, and nurturing individual talents and interests.
Each weekend is designed to help participants grow, connect, and enjoy meaningful interactions with others in a supportive environment.
Our weekday programs, held Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1 pm, focus on empowering children and young adults with special needs, key features include Functional Literacy, fostering Self-Dependency, Workshops in Social Emotional Learning (SEL), tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to meet each student’s unique needs and Counseling for students and parents.
With a holistic approach and qualified staff, we create a safe and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
We also emphasize community involvement, ensuring students build meaningful connections while developing essential life skills for a brighter future.

The underprivileged children are unable to have access to various therapies like Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Art Based Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Remedial intervention, Special Educator assistance etc. as these support therapies are expensive and not easily available due to specialised services.
With financial aid these services can be brought to the underprivileged children so that early intervention therapies could benefit them.
Buddy Centre launched a pilot project to assist underprivileged children with special needs.
Regular programs were conducted at ZHEP and PMC School for these children.
The program is voluntary, with no financial cost to the schools or parents.
Buddy Center bears all costs for staff, equipment, and resources for the sessions.
ZHEP allocated 10 children, and PMC School allocated 12, totaling 22 children receiving assistance.
Each child was assessed, and personalized support plans were developed.
Buddy Center launched a pilot project to assist underprivileged children with special needs.
This initiative aims to help underprivileged children with special needs in both school and center environments.
The project underscores Buddy Center’s mission to provide equal learning opportunities for all.
